Tram T3

Type: Vehicle

Description:

The Tatra T3 is one of the most important trams in the history of urban transport. More than 14,000 units were produced, making it the most numerous tram in the world. With its timeless design and technical simplicity, it shaped public transport in Eastern Europe for decades.

Thanks to its simple design, reliability, and easy maintenance, the T3 quickly became the standard for urban transport in Eastern Europe. Over more than three decades, over 14,000 units were produced – primarily for Czechoslovakia, the Soviet Union, East Germany, and other Eastern Bloc countries. The T3 thus became a symbol of socialism on rails.

Despite its simple look, it was an advanced vehicle – equipped with electric gear from Škoda Plzeň and a smart chassis for a smooth ride.

Although many T3s have already been retired, several were modernized in the 1990s and after 2000. This led to versions like the T3R.P or T3M, extending their service life into the 21st century. Today, the T3 is not only a symbol of cities like Prague, Brno, and Ostrava, but also an object of interest for collectors, modelers, and fans of urban transport.

The Tatra T3 tram is one of the most iconic vehicles ever produced by the Czechoslovak industry. Here we see it in a low poly version. In the game’s design phase, a low triangle count is important – but for an enjoyable experience, the interior is essential too.
